where's the problem?

I read several Chinese newspaper articles today and have something to comment.

Some articles share the similar common problem -- the structure of the stories. Nearly all showbiz articles started their first paragraphs with almost the same, boring facts.

I've always thought that showbiz news have most room for creativity, but after reading those writeups on the artiste-related events, I realised they seem to have a template for structures.

I don't know what exactly their writing styles are. I just feel that journalists should at least try their best to make an article interesting.

What disappointed me most was an article on a campus. There were a few wrong phrasings, and an "abruptly plotted in" paragraph that should have been shifted to the previous paragraph, so as to show the continual flow of thoughts. The usage of conversational Chinese in one paragraph undermined the formality of that paragraph. And lastly, the journalist included a Chinese interviewee's English name when I suppose he/she could have asked for his Chinese name.

I'm just... disappointed.
