A morning at ufm1003 《眾議院》

music 一比一 [范瑋琪/一比一]

What's wrong with my blog? Some words appeared to have weird and redundant links without me doing anything to it. Argh. Computer sucks. I can never figure out the workings of technical stuff here. So frustating!!

Woke up extremely early in the morning to embark on my journey to ufm 1003. I didn't know that a radio station can be situated within a commerical building, heh.

I was early. Obviously, as a precautionary measure, the unionworks' door was equipped with security function which requires password for entry. I waited outside. Fortuantely a lady made her way to the door and invited me in.

Whoa. First time entering a radio station. Passing the reception counter through another security door, an office appeared in front of me. There were few computers, blue-cushioned chairs with jackets covering their backs, newspapers and magazines and many many autographed celebrity posters on the wall. Whoa. I wondered which celebrity had once stepped on the area of the carpet I was stepping on. So amazing. Heh.

I was 20 minutes early. Could hear 黃文鴻 and Pornsak' voices emanating from the broadcasting room just next to the office. Free and easy. Cosy but cold (thanks to the air-con. no choice.. those equipments are sensitive to warm temperatue..). The panasonic radio at the corner was tuned in to ufm 1003. So near yet so far.. haha.

While waiting, I flipped the newspaper I borrowed from Margaret. She told me over the phone that we'll be discussing about some news from the papers. Was quite worried that I would have nothing to say.

Pornsak came out of the brocasting room. Whoa. First time seeing him in person too.

As the clock showed 8.15am, it was time to for us (蔡深江.you-e.jianhong and me) to go on air. The broadcast room was small but it creates a cosy feeling. There were a small television, 3 computers (or 2? couldn't remember), a panel of buttons, headphones, microphones and many other technical equipments. Absolutely COOL! =)

《眾議院》started with the topic on the cover page of today's newspaper - unemployment and job matching problem. Yep, we discussed and talked about that. The adults found our thoughts quite amazing to them, especially jianhong's. He's as old as me and yet held a not-very-similar opinion as me on certain issues, which coincidentally allowed us to complement each other. He's sincere and straightforward; it's no surprise that he's always being invited to express his views on Channel U's "Shoot 有話就說".

Saw djs Anna and 于玲 during the break in between.. Wanted to talk to 于玲 about Sixplus.. but wasn't sure how I should kick start the topic.. What a pity. =(

After a news and commercial break we moved on to the issue of premarital pregnancy. My stance that premarital pregnancy is a norm in our society stunned 蔡深江. Haha. Anways, it was fun looking at the sms responses and receiving phonecalls too. Can't imagine that there are really adults out there listening to our conversations! =)

All of us agreed that speaking in the radio is more comfortable as compared to television, probably because it's the "uncensor" factor that makes the programme more sincere and exciting. To me, it's a breakaway from the "socially and politically correct" answers.. quite shiok.. though what we say have to be backed by logical and sane thinking.

It's been a highly enriching experience for me. Must thank 志偉 for his recommendation. =)
