China Forum at NYGH

music none

Went for this China forum hosted by Nanyang Girls' High. It lasted all the way from 8.30am to 5.00pm.. Deadbeat.

Yimeng said that the whole forum cum presentations were too general. Nevertheless I find it quite enriching. At least from the presentations conducted by several Nanyang girls who went to several parts of China for immersion, I realised what I heard about China's emergence, rapid progess and its rising living standards are very true indeed.

I might consider touring around Beijing and Shanghai if given chance.. should be interesting to compare different modus vivendi led by people speaking the same language.

Quoting Mr Chan Soo Sen, "China is not about a 13 billion market, but 100 13 million markets.. Beijing is very different from Shanghai; Suzhou is neither similar to Shenzhen.." What he said has really broadened my view. Frankly I don't know much about China market and its population before this forum. That's how ignorant I can be.

Ah China, you're beginning to rock the world. =)

Happened to meet my chinese drama culture camp 2004 team members Chengxi and Yunzhou at the forum. Chengxi was one of the hosts and Yunzhou a participatant. Thousands of apologies to them cos I've completely forgotten their names, though I could recognise their faces. Sigh, memory does deteriorate with age. Direct relationship. But I'm really glad that they could still remember me and approached me. I guess that initiative and cordiality exemplified true friendship.

Moved. Touched.

Got birthday present from dear Denise today. =) She didn't really surprised me cos she told me long long ago that my present would be a pink POOH bag. But I didn't expect it to turn out to be so sweet and cute.

I found a Piglet handphone accessory siting inside the bag when I zipped it open. I've moved its place; that cute little pig's handing on my handphone now.

Presents are the most wonderful thing one can receive, cos what makes them different from other tangible goods is the true well wishes attached to them.

They fill one's mind with memories- everytime I use something that's given to me as gifts, I will definitely think of the people who bought me those stuff. We may have lost touch along the way, but their faces still remain distinguishable in my mind.

Thanks Denise!

[oh yah, Sikhin said the offical age to learn diving will be rasied from 18 to 21 years old. okay, one thing less to be happy about for turning 18 years old.]
