MAS PC+Mayday+X'mas Party

music 亂世浮生 [五月天/知足精選]

My heartbeat's extraordinary fast now. Jimmy said that when one's heart beats very fast it means that he has something to ask. But I've got nothing to ask. Maybe I'm just too eager to share what has happened today. Or.. maybe I'm just too tired. -_-"

Went to Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) this morning to attend their press conference for the issurance of $2 polymer note. Actually it has the same design and security features as the $10 polymer note, which is in circulation now. The press conference was an eye opener. Wanbao, Zaobao and CNA sent their interns there, haha. We don't have business cards to exchange so it was quite an embarrassing sight when people at MAS asked us for business cards.

Rushed back to SPH with Shinmin's Fengtian. I realised that full-time journalists like to take advantage of interns. They've got $300 transport allowance each month and most of them like to share a cab with interns, ask interns to pay and claim transport fees instead. Ok la, it's just a small favour..

I made a few mistakes in my writeup. Luckily mentor Wenxue edited it. I felt quite remorseful for being careless. I'm a bit blur at times. The senior editorial team was so steady. It was almost deadline for submission and they could handle everything very calmly. I think my writeup (22/12/05, Lianhe Wanbao P9) was the last to go in for layout and publication.

Went to Friday Weekly editorial room during lunch time to do last minute touch-up for my Yuan Meng DJ cd. Jieying and Yiling, I've submitted our entry!! =) Zhenling came and lent me 4 Mayday albums!! Millions of cheers to her!! Zhenling I love you!

Before being released from work, Kaili went online and checked for some hairstyles that are suitable for me. She and Cindy have said that they'll accompany me to the hair salon. Eh, you guys really mean it ah? I'm so touched!!

Weizheng came and passed me a huge bag of polystrene cups, paper plates, plastic spoons and forks. That bag of thing really spoilt my image! I looked like an auntie carrying some rubbish!

Dad fetched me to Coasta Sands Resorts. Ruiying's having a Christmas Party there. I find Chengyao and my sister amusing. The organisers, Wenjing and Jieying, told Chengyao last minute that they couldn't find the venue. And in the end it was my sis who managed to book a chalet at Coasta Sands, one day before this event! So proud of her!!

I lugged those utensils there and waited for more than one hour for the arrival of food. Frankly I'm quite fed-up with the organisers. So was Chengyao I think. But obviously he's more forgiving than me. Wenjing and Jieying went to collect the buffet (cos those idiots refused to send it here) and guess what- the bloody caterers didn't provide us with utensils! Not even thongs or whatever to scoop food! If you want to know which caterer is that I'd be very happy to tell you. Just ask me OK!

Fortunately our last minute chalet turned out to be a fun one. Thanks to the supporters.. Yuchih, Dianjun, Xingdan, Silei, Peixuan, Jiaming, Yuneng, Yaoxian, Weizheng, Wangdan, Xixun, Yijun, Hanchong, Junzhan, Zhiyang, Yiming, Jiajun, Leqiao, Weilai, Bingrong.. and some people whom I'm not sure of their names!!

Thanks for ending my night in an interesting manner!!

(Hanchong: You told me that my blog is empty right. See, I wrote such a long one specially for you. Make sure you tell me you've read it!!)
